THE WAR ON VETERAN SUICIDE
STARTS AT HOME
Project Diehard is first and foremost a grassroots effort, but we can’t do it alone. We are not and never will be a non-profit in which the CEO makes a six-figure income. If you would like more information on how you can help Project Diehard, please contact us. We are always looking for people who would like to volunteer, become a patron or sponsor an event.
Together we can make a difference in this battle against veteran suicide.
Project Diehard hosts a Veterans breakfast from 8–11am at Texas Roadhouse (2900 James Sanders Blvd. Paducah, KY 42001) the first Thursday of each month. All profits will be going to Fort Hope. Cost will be $5.00 with the hopes that people will come and fellowship with an American Hero and buy a veteran breakfast.
QPR: 3 steps anyone can learn to help prevent Veteran suicide
This QPR Gatekeeper Training for Suicide Prevention is customized for those dealing with Veterans. ProjectDiehard is proud to partner with Four Rivers Behavioral Health and the QPR Institute. This is a 2 hour class with lunch provided.

UNLESS YOU’VE BEEN A SOLDIER
BY CLIVE SANDERS
Unless you’ve been a soldier,
You just won’t understand.
The things that we have seen and done,
In the service of our land.
We were trained to live in combat,
And to deal with awful sights,
That shouldn’t be seen by anyone
And keep you awake at nights.
We don’t discuss the wounds we have,
To the body or the mind.
We just put our hurts behind us,
And turn our memories blind.
We are proud we served our country,
But remember those we lost.
For the freedom that you have today,
They paid the awful cost.
